We are seeking a Senior VFX artist to join Sharkmob on a new unannounced project!

The role
You will be part of the VFX team working together in creating and delivering high-end effects and any other place where VFX comes into play. The team has big ambitions, and we value smart decisions, creative professionalism, and passion for the craft.

You will have a great deal of ownership and influence over the VFX in the game, and you will collaborate and compromise with other departments to reach the best solution possible. You will work closely with the design, concept and programming departments to determine what we want to create and help realize great ideas to improve the game. Besides that, we value team performance over individual performance and strive to work as effectively as a unit as possible.

Key qualifications
- Several years of experience with real-time VFX creation
- Being able to create a wide range of effects, including realistic ones
- Shipped at least one AAA-games
- Great communication skills
- Solid ability to break down tasks and plan your work
- Comfortable exploring different options and doing a lot of technical problem-solving
- Solid understanding of shaders and how to set up shader networks to support your VFX
- Comfortable creating textures that can easily be reused

Nice to have
- Unreal Engine experience

Sharkmob was founded in 2017 and has offices in Malmö, Sweden, and London, UK. The studio develops AAA-quality games for PC and console, using the Unreal Engine to power its ambitions of taking multiplayer games to new heights.

Currently, we are working on two major projects: Exoborne - a Sharkmob original game created in Malmö, is a tactical, open-world extraction shooter set in a United States torn apart by apocalyptic forces of nature. The second project, developed in London, is another Sharkmob original IP yet to be announced. In this position you will:
Design and create final artwork for packaging and labelling of the IKEA Food products.
Ensure, in co-operation with the Laws & Standards and Quality functions, that packaging complies with legal and other demands for all markets concerned.
Secure, in co-operation with the Laws & Standards and Quality functions, overall quality (linguistically, typographical and visually) of packaging to ensure clarity and comprehensibility.
Perform quality checking and approval of all packaging and printed matter.

A DAY IN YOUR LIFE WITH US
As Graphic Design Specialist you will be responsible for designing both the physical and digital graphical concept of the design solutions to inspire, inform and captivate consumers. You will achieve this by, mainly, focusing on below areas.
You will be creating visual concepts to communicate IKEA ideas to consumers. You will develop communication carriers that identify the IKEA home furnishing unique offer, convey retail design messages, support our range presentation, and verbalize our strategy. Moreover, you will create graphic design that illustrate the IKEA offer in an innovative way. To enable and ensure excellent graphic design you will outline templates and actively develop new content formats and graphic communication assets. As our team continues to grow, we are thrilled to invite a curious and results-driven Senior Producer to join us in Malmö. In this dynamic role, you'll support the production team, ensuring the seamless execution of the project. Be a crucial part of our journey and help bring our latest project, Exoborne, to life!
Reporting to a Lead Producer, you'll work collaboratively with cross-functional teams across the studio, ensuring we have the best organizational structure, processes, and practices that allow them to produce high-quality work on time and within budget.
The ideal candidate understands the creative chaos of AAA game development and can create comprehensive goals for the teams to work towards.
Responsibilities Lead feature teams to deliver on their goals through problem-solving, motivation, and support.
Collaborate with Production leadership, Directors, and Leads to turn creative vision into actionable, scoped plans, maintaining a long-term view of planning while embracing the iterative nature of the creative development process.
Continuously seek opportunities to improve development effectiveness and quality of life.
Identify and solve complex project problems with minimal supervision.
Mentor less experienced Producers, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
Build and maintain a positive team culture and morale.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, integrating learnings into game development.
Track and report on development team progress, morale, and potential risks, proactively solving issues as they arise.
Requirements 8+ years in an Associate Producer/Producer role within a large development team.
Experience in all stages of AAA/AA development from concept to release as a Producer. Post-launch experience with a Live Service is a plus.
Expert understanding of modern project management methodologies and how best to apply them. Experience in coaching and training individuals in agile/lean concepts and practices is a plus.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Passionate about building a positive team culture and improving development efficiency.

The roleIn this role, you will work closely with artists, designers, programmers, and many otherdisciplines on our recently announced title Exoborne! We are looking for a hands-on candidate with extensive experience working in editor for prototyping, support, and performance. Someone who can build strong connections between teams and facilitate the world we are trying to build while providing good feedback to colleagues and mentoring other technical artists.
You will play a crucial role in focusing on the craft development aspect within the team, ensuring expertise and guidance in the specific craft area of technical art. This role reports to the Development Manager, who has the people management responsibility for the team.
Your essentials Ability and willingness to mentor other technical artists
Experience in setting up processes for different kinds of code reviews
Competence in identifying and driving performance goals and optimizations for open-world development on consoles and PCs
Extensive production experience with Unreal Engine Experience with scripting or programming (Python, C++, blueprints)
Shipped at least one previous AAA title
Strong understanding of streaming systems and setups for open-world games
Strong problem-solving and prototyping abilities
